Tradegy Struck
After some severe power failures, my main PC's hard disk drive failed. In the process I lost over 4 months of work, including around 40 images I wanted to add to the wallpaper site. This is the second Maxtor drive that gave me problems and now I'm switching brands.
After a lot of research I've decided on getting an Hitachi Deskstar 7k250 160GB SATA drive running at 7200 rpms.
I'm hoping that I'll find the time to write a review on the drive as soon as I get my hands on it. (Which should be within 3 days - and of course after I've got my PC back up and running.
The Maxtor drive just won't spin up anymore. The drive is still supposed to be under warrenty so I'll have to see if I can get a replacement drive as well. Not that it will help the data that I lost, but at least it won't be a total loss.
